UX and Campaign Copy for Pick n Pay Asap!

What began as a three-month project to assist the Pick n Pay Asap! team with push notifications, campaign copy, social media content, and UX writing, turned into a wonderful 5-month retainer.

The Pick N Pay work culture is quite refreshing. I could tell from our first meeting that the team really loved their jobs, and that they were quite ambitious about reaching their marketing goals.

During my time with the team, I wrote (probably hundreds) of push notifications for the app, joined in on trade meetings to improve the user experience, wrote ad copy for Pick n Pay Online and Pick n Pay home, and reworked all of the transactional mailers that customers receive when shopping on the app.

Here’s an example of how I was able to bring L’andre Venter’s ‘Collect a Bunny’ Easter Campaign to life by through storytelling:

It was a gift with purchase campaign that offered customers a magnetic collectable bunny, and it was quite well received online.
